Ellen Swain appears on the Sheffield 1871 aged 8 with father John Swain, Cabinet Case Maker and mother Elizabeth. I have the original census copy and it does look like Ellen, but I cannot find a birth on freebmd for her so I can then check GRO for mother's maiden name. Or am I just missing it? any help appreciated.
