Can anyone tell me where I can find more information about my 4x gt grandfarther Anthony Mycock he was badly injured in a mining accident in 1857

Re: Anthony Mycock

Hi Kathleen

Assume you have this information already

Sheffield Free Press 26 September 1857. Anthony Mycock 61 severely burnt by Fire Damp at Birley Vale Plantation Pit. Died from his injuries 7 October 1857 Buried at Gleadless Christ Church.

I've had a lot of help from the National Coal Mining Museum when I've been researching family who died in mining accidents.
