Re: middlewood hospital sheffield

Hi Kay,

From many years ago I am sure we were in contact.

The part of your email I am interested in clearing up is the following.

*Found her in the burial records but only when i used her sons name'*

What was the difference in the two entries? Was it *Wolstenholme* There are a number of different spellings of that surname.

Elaine in Ottawa.

NOTE.
WOSTENHOLME, Ellenor

Re: middlewood hospital sheffield

Hi Kay,

How far back have you got with information about Eleanor?

She is on the 1939 register at 57 Freedom Street, Sheff.
On the birth registrations, Walter and his siblings have the MMN Beeley.
There is a marriage at The Sheffield Parish Church 28 July 1889 between
Eleanor Beeley and Harry Wolstenholme.
They are on the 1911 census at 61 Freedom Road.
Quite a few of the childrens baptism at St John the Baptist, Owlerton.

Moira.

Re: middlewood hospital sheffield

Many patients were buried in a large plot of land at Wadsley Church. There are no headstones, just a grassed area with a memorial stone.
