Just wondering if a person that died in 1918 in Franc and Flanders would be register and recorded on the BMD?

You need CWGC, Commonwealth War Graves Commission

There is a separate index to registers of deaths in the armed forces and this is available on FindMyPast.

The death certificates themselves can be obtained from the General Register Office.
