I think there is a typo in the burial record on this site for Frederick Pollard Astwood (grave number 421, section AA of Crookes Cemetery).

It says says 22 years of age at death but I reckon that he was 69 (born 23/3/1858).

I have checked the original and our transcription is correct, the record clearly shows age 22

I have made a note that Free BMD has the age at death as 69.

I'd read a death notice in the Telegraph that confirmed he was the husband of Florence [ob. 1943], and he died 17 December 1927 at 41 Longfield road.

Makes you wonder why the vicar got his age so way out, not sure if Vicki can check but what were the ages of the people above and below in the burial register?

They were not 69 in either case John, I had already looked at that scenario.

Maybe the Vicar was the 'caller' for the parish bingo night, and as he was filling in the register two ducks flew over his head.
