the Upperthorpe Watery Lane was 139 St Phillips Rd to Faucet St according to my old street guide. My uncle always claimed he went to school with Reg Dixon in which case it would have been Upperthorpe council School.

But Dixon he didn't live anywhere near Watery lane. Bowness Road is off Walkley Lane. The baptism entry is an accurate transcription of a mistake by the clerk.
