revisiting my earlier research

Hi,
I am after a little help moving on with a family parentage problem. I have traced a Thomas Wall through the census of 1861, 1871, 1881. Have a marriage record 1857 in Sheffield to a Sarah Hughes. Believed to have been born around 1831. I have his burial details and also his wife's burial details. However, I cannot clarify his parentage.
The census state born in Sheffield aside from the 1881 census that states Liverpool. On the marriage record the father's name is Henry. I cannot find anything else to say where he was from - Sheffield? or where his father Henry is from or indeed his mother. Any help appreciated.

Sarah

Re: revisiting my earlier research

Sarah, does the marriage record give his father's occupation please?

Thanks Moira. I had an idea about the Gardener Wall but wasn't sure.. The middle name never appears anywhere else
