Grave

I am trying to locate the grave of Albert Herring dob 1875 his occupation is listed as a Edge Tool Grinder in the 1911 census His wife Annie Eliza Herring dob 1873.

There children were Laura Herring 1898 - Albert 1902 - Annie 1907.
Albert's parents George Herring 1841 and his wife Ann 1841.
Annie's parents Arthur Warriss 1850-1880 wife Lavinia Eliza Cooper 1853 1907. Any information would be most helpful.

Re: Grave

Albert and Annie are buried in Shiregreen Cemetery.. if you click on burial records and input the name his will come up click on find in same grave it will show both. John

Re: Grave

I have been trying that but it comes up no name. As they lived at Heeley it seems strange that they are buried in Shiregreen Cemetery. Would you know if there is a head stone for the grave.

Re: Grave

I would not know sorry I think the only way would be to visit the cemetery as I am sure bereavemnet services are not dealing with this sort of enquiry at present

Re: Grave

Hi Marlene,

1939 register, 60 The Oval, Sheffield. (Longley area).
Albert Herring, born 20 Apr 1872, Steelworks labourer, married.
Annie E. Herring, born 1 Sep 1873, domestic duties, married.
John Hurst, born 12 Dec 1916, Shell Treatment Labo. single.

If the above is your Albert and Annie, it would explain why they were
buried in Shiregreen Cemetery.

I think George and Ann Herring are also in the burials in the left hand
column, they are buried in Norton Cemetery.

Arthur Warriss was buried 16 March 1880 at St Mary, Bramall Lane, aged 29yrs.
His address was Howard Lane.

Lavinia Eliza Warriss remarried on 24 Dec 1882 at Sheffield Parish Church
to Frederick Hodgkinson.

Moira.
