thought for the day - re future ancestors tracing me

While I was out walking today, exercise purpose. I was thinking, I arrived in Australia in 2004. The next census here was 2011, whereby I had reverted back to my maiden name. So anyone following my line in generations to come will struggle.
Born Goodison, married a Hollands, Married a Smith (god forbid ) no chance, then reverted back to Goodison - but remarried keeping name. Haven't been on a census here with my maiden name. Moved around a lot when growing up...so was thinking 'Good Luck'.
But a few of my ancestors have proven quite difficult also...

Re: thought for the day - re future ancestors tracing me

Back in the Millenium year someone quite seriously suggested all children should carry & be registered with their mothers surname. After all the child is born out of the mother so no issues about paternity. Needless to say the idea was not taken up although that may have been due to male presssure !!!!!!!!!!!
