BENT LATHES GUN STATION WW1

My grandfather gave this as his address on his marriage in 1918. He was in the Royal Garrison Artillery.

Does anyone know where it was and, better still are there any photos?

Many thanks

Re: BENT LATHES GUN STATION WW1

Hi Annie,

According to a newspaper report by the 'Ministry of Munitions Disposal Board'
who were selling off some equipment at Bents Lathes Gun and Light Station, near Rotherham, it is 'Ten minutes walk of Broomhead Road tram terminus and the
trackless trams pass close by'.
Sheffield Daily Telegraph, 24 Jan 1920.

Moira.
