Please can anyone tell me whether marriages at Sheffield Cathedral in later 1700s are available on line?
I couldn’t quite understand from the info available on the website.
If not, how can I access them?

The marriage I am interested in is for John Mappin and Elizabeth ?, their first child apparently was Mary baptised in 1789 at Sheffield Cathedral.

There are other John Mappins around, but the name is fairly limited overall.

Not finding anything for Sheffield Parish Church 1783-1788 (index only)
1789-1793 shows no John either.

But I did find the following.

MAPPIN, John (Bachelor, age ~, ~, residing at parish of Rotherham).
Married Elizabeth TINN, on January 1, 1791, by ~ (Banns) at
Parish Church, Rotherham. Father's name is ~ (~).

Two years later than birth but worth keeping in mind.

Mary was baptised 5th July 1789 at the Parish Church. Daughter of John and Elizabeth Mappin (Cutler). I have emailed you a copy of the Register.

Thanks Elaine, I saw the Rotherham marriage as well. However as the children were baptised in Sheffield I hope to find a Sheffield marriage.
I will look for some Rotherham born children of John and Elizabeth to see if there is another’s family in S Yorks.
