I am trying to find out some information on a Bernard Scott I don't have much information on him as he was single and during the 1950's lived with my husbands family in Sheffield I understand he was born in Sheffield but no other information.
What I do know is that he served in the army and spent some time in Burma this is where I need information. I have his Star of India and would like to know whether he was awarded it for some specific deed, or was it handed out to all who served in India. Are there any records from WW11 that are available to the public.
Marlene, anyone who served in Burma during Ww2 received the Burma Star.
