Showing my ignorance here.... What is "Fold 3?"

Ancestry has very little on him.maybe five entries including the 1939 data.

I am presuming you have all of that.

Yes got the rest thanks. It is some records that ancestry sends you to but you need a subscription for.

I didn't know this but it is a bit of Ancestry with military records:

"Traditionally, the third fold in some flag-folding ceremonies honors and remembers veterans for their sacrifice in defending their country and promoting peace in the world."

It looks like a very American thing but also another way for ancestry to devalue their 'World' subscription by hiving off records to make more money.

Fold 3 was set up about 4 years ago and Ancestry started transferring all the war records into this. As you state it is a way of extracting more money from people.
