John James Harrington & Alice Silvester - baptism records of children

G'day

I've found very few baptism records for this family. I've found index records for baptism but they dont state the church. The couple were married in St Philips Church Shalesmoor.

I've not found any records on this group either.

I'm on Ancestry UK as the families in my tree are predominantly from Sheffield.

Any suggestions where I can find these records at no cost please?

cheers
Leisa

The baptisms are in the parish records over to the left. Do not forget to use the wild card.

Re: John James Harrington & Alice Silvester - baptism records of children

Cheers Dave, I only put in 1 asterisk not two.

Re: John James Harrington & Alice Silvester - baptism records of children

Dave, pease could you explain why use two asterisk?

Re: John James Harrington & Alice Silvester - baptism records of children

John, it covers for the possibility of small transcription errors like space or comma or full stop or bracket which would otherwise be missed by the search.
Always stray on the side of finding too many answers rather than too few. You can always ignore a few extra irrelevant ones.

Not directly related to the question, but I notice the unusual name Jackson HARRINGTON. I believe John James's parents Jackson and Eliza are buried in Wardsend Cemetery (St Philip's Parish). I have a photo of the gravestone if you would like one.
