Look Up

Would someone be able to check the Sheffield Newspapers for a Edward Barrett dob 1896 died 1st February 1911 his death is recorded as drowned in a reservoir in Rotherham . I was wondering if there would have been an article in one of the newspapers.

Re: Look Up

Hi Marlene, i have had a look on FMP,Ancestry and various archive sites for newspapers and didn't find anything.sorry Sheila

Re: Look Up

There are two articles in the Sheffield Daily Telegraph dated 3 Feb 1911 and 6 Feb 1911. Edward's surname is Barratt in both of them. Address is given as Steel Square, Church Street, Greasborough. Edward fell through ice and drowned in Greasborough Dam.
Hope this helps.
