Please could someone point me in the right direction my great uncle was mentioned in WW2 dispatches where would I find this information

Christine, they were published in The Gazette which you can find online. It will help if you know where he was serving at the time

I don't know where he was serving ,although I do know he did survive the war and he was in the RAF I think he was a Warrant Office but I will have to check that one.
