James Kent b 1896

Seeking what happened to James Kent son of Joseph Kent & Margaret Ellen Rotherham. Born March 31st 1896 in Prescot Reg dist. Lancashire. The family moved to Sheffield early 1900s - a dysfunctional family who were all split up by 1911.
In the 1911 census, son James aged 15 was a prisoner locked up in the detention home at Archer Road, Sheffield. There the trail goes cold.
It is possible he was in WW1 and killed as a relative recalls a treasured photo of a soldier in uniform in his grandmother Kent's home.

In 1912 and again in 1913 father Joseph was imprisoned for failure to pay Industrial School arrears
Any help welcome.

Re: James Kent b 1896

Somewhere out there there should be a photo of this young man that will have gone down either the Howsam or the Kent line.
Sue
I have emailed www.sheffieldsoldierww1.co.uk with details as they have a J Kent on there who I think will be this one and who is commemorated on the All Saints Roll of Honour.
Once again many thanks
Lyn
