According to the 1891 - 1911 census Alice Stuart was born abt 1890 in Intake Handsworth I have searched the main ancestry cite and the Sheffield birth records but I have not found any trace of her birth. She married Samuel George Mears on the 12 - 11 - 1911 in St Paul Norton Lees Sheffield Vol 9c Page 700, and died December 1918 in Sheffield Vol 9c Page 1510.

No father listed.

Having had a quick look at the transcription for the marriage of Alice Stuart and Samuel George Mears there is also no father listed - so would seem to be right.
