My grandfather Irving Joseph Laver went to Derry Eire in 1929 or thereabouts ( as a Soldier) and met Mary Josephine O'Donnell. They married, we believe, but cannot find a record in Sheffield, Derry or Liverpool ( Return home port). Any help would be really appreciated.

There is a marriage on Family Search for a Mary Josephine O'Donnell married Dec qtr. 1928 Dublin North, Ireland. I'm afraid it does not say whom she married.
