FMP and National Archives info request

Good evening Forum folk

I am trying without success for whatever technical reason to download info re Naval Service from these 2 sites re my Uncle, John Arthur Robinson born 18 April 1899 Service no Tyneside Z/11518

From my past attempts the National Archives site has a difficult to read entry immediately after reference to President IV

Can that entry be read ?

On FMP there are notes reading Eastern ( I think ) then Sunderland then O Sig ( Ordinary Signalman ? )
There is also reference to RA Rods Woolwich 10th of June 1926 which I don't understand because he finished his service in July 1919 ?

Again on FMP there is also a Territorial Attestation No 770718 entry for him in 1926
Is this a Territorial Army reference ?

All very confusing, your help would be appreciated

Thanks

Roger

Re: FMP and National Archives info request

Hi Roger,

There appears to be two entries for John Arthur Robinson.
The first is for the R.N.V.R. July 1917 Hostilities,
Victory VI (ship) SS 8184, Rating O.S. from 31 July 17 to Jan 18.
President IV Eastern Sunderland, O. Sig. from 19 Jan 18 to .....?
Fair Isle, Sig. 3 Oct 18 to 25 Feb 19. Over the top of this date is
added June 18 to 2 Oct 18.
Peterhead, Sig. 26 Feb 19 to 3 July 19. Shore on Demob.
In the bottom left had corner is....
PAID WAR GRATUITY
Vide? Dec 18 Ledger
Parties of Service to RA Recds Woolwich
S?C 18963 10/6/26.

John Arthur Robinson attested at Sheffield 1/6/26 in the Territorial Army
for four years. D.O.B. 18/4/99. Occ: Table blade grinder of Heeley, Yks.
Former Service: R.N.V.R. Tyneside Z 11518.
To whom married and children: Emiley Leavsley, married 23/12/22/at Sheffield.
Son John born 25/2/25.
Particulars of Discharge: Date 31/5/30 PARA 199 (1) TAR
Serv. No. 770718.

On the bottom of the first entry with the date 10/6/26, probably refers to
the second entry when he joins the Territorials and his service records
might have been requested.

I am no expert on army and navy records but hope this helps.

Moira.

Re: FMP and National Archives info request

I suspect that PARTIES of Service to RA Recds Woolwich is a mistranscription of PARTICS of Service etc.
