Please could someone help I am searching for the death of Alice Harrison nee Robinson born 1873 in Crowland Lincs her husband was William who died 1944 Sheffield I am sure Alice went to live with her daughter Rose at New Earswick York but I cannot find her death she has stumped me any help would be appreciated

Hello Chris,

From the National Burial Index i found an Alice Harrison buried in Hipswell St John the Evangelist Oct 16 1945 81 years old, probably not yours though.

Possibilities below:

Alice Robinson-birth reg:1870 Peterborough which is very close to Crowland. Parents: Edward & Elizabeth.

Married:1898 Ecclesall Bierlow to William Harrison

Alice Harrison= death reg: 1948 York age 79 making the DOB 1869.

On the 1939 register, the birth date for Alice is given as 18 October 1870.
This would seem to confirm the birth reg. that Wendy found.

Crowland in Lincolnshire was in the Peterborough Reg District from 1837 to 1889.

Thank you all for your replies I am so grateful I just couldn't find the connection to York, although I knew she was living with her daughter but at the same time wasn't sure if that makes sense ???? but you all have made the connection
