I am looking for the marriage of Emor Brook born 01 - 02 - 1806 Kirkburton & Lydia Heap born 1808 Kirkburton. The only marriage I can find for Emor Brook & Lydia Heap is for 27 - 12 - 1919 in Kirkburton, the youngest of this family is Joseph born 1831 in Kirkburton and seven other children John being the last child born Jan - Mar - 1850 in Kirkburton.
My I take this opportunity to wish at Sheffield Indexers a very happy Christmas & new Year with special thanks for all your help in the past few years.
Fred Wheatcroft.
I think the first child of Emor and Lydia was Ruth. She was born 23 Feb 1821 and
baptised 22 Apr 1821 at Kirkburton. They were of Dover Mill and Emor was a farmer.
assuming this is your family in the 1851 census

I was wrong about the first child being Ruth, sorry.
Here are two entries from the 1841 census.
1841 census, Chopards, Kirkburton, Huddersfield, YKs.
Emor Brook, 35yrs (1806), Woollen spinner.
Lydia Brook, 30yrs.
Joseph 9yrs, Elizabeth 8yrs, Martha 6yrs, Sarah 4yrs and Mary 2yrs.
All born in county.
1841 census, Syke House, Kirkburton, Huddersfield, Yks.
Emor Brook, 45yrs, (1796), Farmer.
Lydia Brook, 41yrs.
Ruth 20yrs, Hannah 19yrs, James 15yrs, John 13yrs, Emor 11yrs, Jane 6yrs
and Lydia 3yrs. All born in county.
The only marriages I could find are transcripts from FMP.
Amos Brook married Lydia Heap, 27 Dec 1819, All Hallowes, Kirkburton.
Presume this is the couple living at Syke house in 1841.
Aaron Brook married Lydia Hirst, 10 July 1831, All Hallowes, Kirkburton.
This must be the couple at Chopards in 1841.
Again, I am presuming the Amos/Aaron are transcript errors.
If the originals are on Ancestry, could someone please check these entries.
Emor Brook, born 1 Feb 1806, bap 3 March 1806 at Wesleyan Methodist, Almondbury,
Holmfirth. Parents, John and Martha of Choppards parish of Kirkburton.
On Ancestry there are the images of the Marriage Register and the Banns Register for this marriage - under West Yorkshire Marriages. The handwriting could make his name Amos or Amor, so there is definitely confusion about his name but the Lydia Heap is clear.
