Who occupied a Pitsmoor. Sheffield UK address in 1920?
I have an Ellen Best (41) and Son Alec (10) arriving Liverpool UK on the 2nd May 1920. They left St Johns in New Brunswick, Canada on the ship Minnedosa. Their final destination address was 137 Fox Street, Pitsmoor Sheffield. Can anybody shed light in who was occupying that address? Who were they visiting/ staying with there? If not how to go about finding out. The census is not yet published so no help.
I am trying find family of an Alec P Best who was born about 1910. I believe he was a Canadian of British parentage. I do know that he married a Jessie M Hooper in 1938, a civil marriage in Sheffield. I also know he was in the RAFVR and was MIA in June 1941

Hugh my friend! You have given me the link that I have been looking for. I had suspected that Ellen (Nellie) Best was a Holliday before marriage. Charles, her father died 1902. One of his daughters was an Elizabeth Holliday dob 1881/2, later Elizabeth Moore. So the Ellen Best that left New Brunswick with Alec had a final destination in Fox Street, staying with her sister and/ or brother-in-law.

Thanks for that. I was wanting to link Ellen Best nee Holliday to this address and why she had this as a destination address in 1920, after leaving Canada. Hugh provided that link.
In 1939 Ellen now aged 61, was living in Bournemouth UK, with her eldest son Ernest Noel Best and daughter in law. Alec her youngest son was then in the RAFVR, stationed at Thornaby Yorkshire.
