I'm fairly sure we are talking about this Amy SHERWIN (whose daughter May married a MOTTERSHEAD):
Marriage at St George's 16 Jun 1902
Alfred TAYLOR Bach 23 butcher 24ct 3h Brightmore Street
father: Richard TAYLOR (decd) forgeman
Amy SHERWIN 24 Spinst 43 Watery St
father: [blank]
witnesses: Richard TAYLOR, Emily MUNDY
In the 1911 census the birthplace column is a mess but may mean she was born in Crookes.
The 1939 register lists her dob as 6 Oct 1875.
In 1901 John William FIELDEN and family are at 43 Watery St - no sign of Amy or other Sherwins.
PULFORD, Amy (of 43 Watery St, born 1875-10-06).
Baptised April 1, 1903, by T C Lawson at St Philips Church, Shalesmoor.
Parents name(s) are Annie & George Edmund (Butcher).
Amy married a year before this baptism as Amy Sherwin.
George Edmund married twice but not to an Annie Sherwin.
Pulford, Geo Edmund (Mast Butcher, age 46).

Is the above any connection to this family? There are several Burials on here.
Is this your Annie(Ann) Sherwin
B:1853/4 Ecc.Bierlow Bapt:1858 Sheffield. Parents: Henry & Mary Sherwin
Married: 1878 Sheffield to George Leeks B:1852/3(Father John Leeks). George Leeks B:abt.1851/2, Bapt:1852 Hintlesham(w),Suffolk-parents John & Harriet.
In 1871 George was an Agri. Labourer in Suffolk (single)
Here comes a weird part: 1881 census-Ct.?Watkin Lane,Nether Hallam
George on this census is recorded as
Samuel Leak, age 29 born Hintleshaw, Suffolk, occ:Railway Porter
wife: Ann Leak age 28 born Sheffield
daughter: AMY LEAK age 5 ditto
son: Ernest born 1879/80
all census after that are George Leeks with wife Annie and many more children.
Amy Leeks in 1891 is a domestic servant at Infirmary Road, Nether Hallam. Sorry don't know which family.
Question: was Amy Leeks, the same person as Amy Sherwin who married Alfred Taylor..??
