Hello all,am having difficulty finding birth for my Gt.Gt. grandma.Mary Wild she was wife of William Topham of Saxelby Lincs.born 1825 she was a couple of years younger than him.On the 1861 census they are living on Blast Lane Sheffield and it says she was born in Attercliffe.Would appreciate your help.Regards Carol

Mary Wild baptism on FMP bd 1824 june 30, parents John and Ann, fathers occupation was whitemetal smith. Residence is Sheffield. Baptism date is Jan 16 1824. Baptised at the Cathedral.

Not on Ancestry.

I find Ancestry more professional but FMP brings me more results.


1851 Mary Wild is a house servant at Occupation Rd Brightside Bierlow, with John Tinley b 1808 Sheffield,a patent bellows manufacturer and Ann b 1808 Sheffield. Mary is not related.

1841 Eldon St Sheffield, house holders are John and Mary Smith, again Mary is un related at 15 yo.
