I'm trying to find out more about my great-grandfather William Henry Budd (known as Henry). He was born in Southampton in 1853, died 1891, buried in Elstead, Surrey. He was a soldier c1870-c1880, religion Weslyan Methodist. On his marriage certificate (at Aldershot) his father is described as Robert Budd, grocer & baker. I've not been able to find Henry's birth records or anything on his parents. On his army papers, he gives his next of kin as Mrs L. Budd of Infirmary Road, Sheffield. I know there was a Robert Budd, brewer in Infirmary Road. Does anyone know of a connection between Mrs L Budd and this Robert?
