Mary Shepherd

My 2x Great Grandmother was married in 1843, her address is given as Pinstone Street. The only possible Mary Shepherd I have found in the 1841 census is as follows:-
Shepherd, Mary of Burgess Street, Sheffield South. Aged 20 years.
(Piece #1337/1, folio 30a, enumeration district 2.)
My query is are these two streets close together and therefore it is who I am looking for, or do I need to cast my net wide

Many thanks

Re: Mary Shepherd

They are close to each other.
Burgess Street runs parallel with Pinstone Street to the west.
Close to the present day Town Hall.

Re: Mary Shepherd

Hi Bob,

When Mary marries, her fathers name is given as Samuel Shepherd, cutler.

Five houses back from where Mary is living in 1841, there is Samuel Shepherd, table
knife cutler and three sons: Thomas 15, Alfred 11 and William 7.

Mary was baptised at Sheffield Parish Church, 24 Feb 1822, (born 5th).
Parents, Samuel and Mary, cutler.

Moira.
