Yes Sue, That's what I found on Ancestry.
The information I was given via Find My Past could lead me to my Albert but, there's no service number on it which is all I need really.

Marlene, take a look at researchingww1.co.uk. There is a clear statement there about the Victory Medal. It says:
"The Victory medal was awarded to all servicemen and women who served in a theatre of war between 5th August 1914 and 11th November 1918 and automatically qualified its recipient for the British War Medal. The Victory medal was never awarded on its own.
Soldiers continued to be eligible for the medal post Armistice if they served in Trans-Capia (modern day Turkmenistan) and Northern Russia in 1919."
If the info you have about your grandfather is correct, this means that he did not qualify for the medal, so there cannot be a medal card for him.
