And his wife Margaret Bower nee Askey born Beauchief 1858, died Jun Quarter 1896 Wortley Distict. I wonder if they could be buried Loxley. I am trying to find them for an Australian distant Cousin who is visiting England next week. Any hep much appreciated

Re: Bowers Family of Bradfield

Hi Gary,

Yes they are buried at Loxley Congrgational Churchyard.

The grave reference is CWS E 29 for Jonathan living in Oughtibridge (1932) aged 82.
Margaret Grave CWS C 65 living at Stannington. (1896) aged 39.

There are a total of 19 Bowers buried there.

Hope this helps.

wow thanks for that Elaine. Is this the Church that burnt down. I was looking at my Cousins family tree for Jonathon and it looks like he remarried twice to and Hannah and a Ruth Askey. Would you know if there was a plot map for the Graveyard.? Once again thank you so much.

Re: Bowers Family of Bradfield

Hi Gary,

Ruth Edna Bower aged 74yrs. Buried 12th April 1943
from 1 Hollins Rd, Oughtibridge
Grave CWS E 29

Same grave as her husband.

We have a map. Recently made by DaveT.

Look at Burial Records and then the top of the page you will note it says Maps etc.
Loxley has a map.

Hope that helps.
