Good afternoon Sheffield Indexers, I have found a baptism for William Henry Hydes which notes that he was born on the 25th of June 1852 but that he was baptized 0n the 31st March 1852. I wonder if anyone might be able to check these dates for me since one the dates must wrong.

On FMP, William's birth date is 25 JAN 1852 and he was baptised on 31 Mar 1852 so I think it is a transcription error on this site.

I presume it is a copy of the actual register that you are seeing on FMP?

If it is I can safely change the birth date to Jan from June that we have in our database.

Yes it was the original. JAN has been mistaken for JUN.

Before I change it in our database I decided to check which quarter he was registered
to help settle the issue and I can not find a birth reg. Would you mind seeing if you can find one please. Two sets of eyes are better than one. LOL.
