(Throapham is between Dinnington and Laughton-en-le-Morthen).
John Lockwood baptised 27 April 1823 at Tickhill, parents - Isaac and Sarah,
labourer.
Marriage, 3 Sep 1844, Sheffield Parish Church.

Ann Burchby baptised 16 June 1822 Throapham. Parents - George and Sarah
of Gilding Wells, labourer.
In 1851 John and Ann are living at West Gate, Doncaster.
In 1861 they are living at Maltby.
In 1871 at Cumberland Street, Sheffield. (John is now a widower).
In 1851 Ann gives her place of birth as Gildingwells, Notts.
Gildingwells is roughly half way between Dinnington and Carlton in Lindrick.
Living with widowed John Lockwood senior in 1871 there is a Sarah Machin. I think she is the mother of John Lockwood born 1865.
John Lockwood b.1823-the father- has older children.
William, Sarah A, Thomas and Elizabeth. Their mother was Ann Burchby.
Ann Lockwood nee Burchby probably died Mar 1863 Rotherham 9c 321
Hope this helps

I think this is the burial of the Ann Lockwood you found.
Ann Lockwood aged 40yrs,of Sandbeck, buried at Letwell 1 February 1863.
(Letwell is not far from Dinnington).
Henry Lockwood Machin, bap 30 Sep 1873 at St. Simon, Eyre St.
Mother - Sarah of 10 court Porter Street.
Is it possible that Ann Lockwood died after giving birth to John and that John was not baptised until the following year? The six year gap seem rather a long time between John baptised in 1864 and Henry Lockwood Machin born in 1870.
