Trying to see if I have the correct Arthur Foster born in 1899 or 1900??
The Arthur Foster I have is on the 1901 and 1911 census living at 40 Moore Street along with his family.
Father Harry Foster 1870-1961
Mother Hannah Pawson 1872-1950
I know the 1911 census to be correct for family!!!
I have found 2 Arthur Fosters in free BMD one for 1899 and another 1900
Also there are 2 deaths for Arthur Foster 1968 and 1969??
Arthur married Lillian Pacey March Quarter of 1922
Lillian Pacey 1902-1989
On the Sheffield Index there is a burial for a Arthur Foster
FOSTER, Arthur (Retired, age 68).
Died at 120 Lancing Rd; Buried on August 20, 1968 in Unconsecrated ground; Grave Number 9437, Section I1 of City Road Cemetery, Sheffield.
There is no mention of a Lillian but as she died a lot later its possible she was cremated
The Arthur mentioned age 68 could have been correct for either 1899 or 1900

I can tell you in 1939 Arthur Foster born 22 Sept 1899 was living with Lillian born 21 August 1902 at 95 Hodgson Street, With them are John A born 4 March 1921 and Barbara L born 2 June 1922 she later and became Barbara L Jackson
Barbara L Foster marries Kenneth Jackson in 1944
Sue all the information matches what I have, now its to find out if the burial on the index is the one I am looking for??
Looking at the birth for Arthur 22 September The burial on the Index is for August, which means Arthur would not have turned 69 until September??
As mentioned before I am thinking Lillian may have been cremated which means she would not share the same grave??

the Arthur Foster burial you found on this site was buried in the same grave as Frederick Bugg who died in 1946 age 75 and at the same address given for Arthur Foster who died in 1968. Also there is a marriage of Arthur Foster to Maggie Bugg in 1947 Sheffield.
That would imply it is not the correct Arthur
