Burials/MI's for Walter and Lucy Smith

Evening all,

I am trying to locate the burials/ MI's for Walter and Lucy SMITH.

Walter Smith, born 1844 to Charles Edward and Ann SMITH (nee Youle)
Lucy Smith, born 1850 to Joseph and Harriett SMITH (nee Middleton)

I have had little luck tracing Joseph Smith after the 1851 Census when he was listed as 'Second Clerk on Duty' at the Central Post Office on Census night. Ever elusive and a common surname to boot!

My Smith families have always proven to be difficult. Charles Edward and Joseph were brothers who's father was a Solicitor in Sheffield. Their father died in 1826 and was for some reason buried out at Tickhill. Some of their children were baptised in the Catholic faith and some in the Anglican church!

Im trying to piece together all the information I can get on this family.

Many thanks,

Jonathan

Hi Jonathan,

There is a burial at St. Mary, Bramall Lane.
Walter Smith aged 7 months, buried 11 Feb 1845, of Clough Lane.

Moira.

FMP has a baptism for Walter which gives his dob as July 4th - an exact match for the 7 month old Walter buried at Bramall Lane in 1845.
