eckington parish records

Following my previous query about the Booth family of Eckington I have discovered that Ancestry does have photocopies of the actual parish records for Eckington online. They are not easy to find. They are indexed on the whole without personal names attached and therefore have to be searched for manually.

They are indexed as follows:- Derbyshire, England, Church of England, Baptisms. Marriages and Burials, 1538 to 1812

I only found those as far back as 1698 and couldn't find the marriages after the mid C18th but they may be there as I didnt look at all of the 300+ pages. The early pages contain interesting facts about the parish including lists of rectors and church wardens.

I hope that this may of use to those searching in Eckington.

Re: eckington parish records

P.S.

I tried to get back to the records and failed until I repeated my previous search which was for an unnamed child born to Thomas and Alice Jinkinson 10 years surrounding 1783 Whittington, Derbyshire, then amongst other suggestions were the Derbyshire Parish records, 2 for Eckington and 1 for Clowne.

Thanks for that, I have just been using it and found several of my ancestors. They were from Edensor and just putting Edensor in the search brought up the parish records 77 pages of interesting 'stuff'
