Re: thomas james wright

Hi Moira
The Isabella Wright in the 1861 census is Thomas' third wife Iabella Bradley.
The GRO index shows Edward Wright 7 months in 1861 mother maiden name is Bradley.
John Thomas' mother is Isabella Lawson.

Hope this helps
Sue

Re: thomas james wright

Hi Jennifer
A possible lead you could follow up.

In January 1854 Thomas sells his business. The auction details are in the Sheffield Independent 14 Jan 1854. He might not have moved directly to Glossop.
From the Leeds Intelligencer 5 August 1854
Bradford-On Tuesday last, aged 20, ISABELLA,wife of T J Wright, commercial traveller, Westgrove street

The death registration is Isabella Wright Bradford 9B 54

Isabella was only 18 when she married in Scarborough in 1852 so that fits her birth year.

I haven't found a burial yet.

I will email you the newspaper articles for you to consider.

Re: thomas james wright

Dear Sue
Many thanks for your help with this and for the newspaper items which you sent me.
I hadn't considered the possibility that he left the area for a short time. I now have all the information I need on Isabella. I am really grateful for your help
Best wishes
Jennifer

Re: thomas james wright

I have a website dealing with all Lawson families throughout the world with very large databases consisting of over 400,00 people. My census database throws up an Isabella Lawson b.c. 1834 at Scarborough daughter of Thomas Lawson and Thomasin Robinson.
