Thomas Stacey and his 2nd wife Rebecca he married 30 May 1847 Cathedral Saint Peter
I am just wondering from my previous question about the Stacey Family if anyone has the death & burial records for Thomas Stacey birth 1792 and his second wife Rebecca. There are quite a few Thomas Stacey's which is making it difficult.
I am unable to locate an 1861 census for either which makes me believe both have died between the 1851 census and the 1861
Thomas Staceys first wife Elizabeth died July 1846 • 50 South Street, Ecclesall Bierlow, Yorkshire, England
If found could you mention the cemetery please
Thanks Barry

Dave I did find Thomas Parker Stacey record on Ancestry. I have looked on many collections of records on Ancestry, although Rebecca Stacey does show up on Free BMD I am unable to locate a record I can attach to her.
Elaine mentions about Thomas being on Free BMD, I have used it many, many times only to find I have the wrong person, because no ages were there.
Only last week I wanted a person and I had the name correct for a death in 1863, Only to be corrected by another member saying it should have been 1864 because the 1863 same name, same town, was 8 years old and not 33 years.
If anyone can find a record for Rebecca which I can attach it would be appreciated. Probable on FMP.
Although I have now got the years, I would have liked the burial records if possible.

Sue I was writing a reply only to find your reply after I had posted mine.
Sue you mention General Cemetery is this the City Road cemetery??
Many thanks if there is a record which I can apply to the burials I would most appreciate it. If you would be able to e-mail, again thank you

Barry, you need to use the new improved, and FREE GROIndex. It gives ages at death for all deaths from 1837 to 1915 and mother's maiden name for all births from 1837 to 1915. It is a little bit quirky to use at first but you quickly get used to it.

Hi Barry
Sorry about typo. Rebecca did die in 1856.
The General Cemetery is not at City Road. It is located in the Sharrow area of Sheffield-on Cemetery Road.
I will email the info to you.
