Robinson enquiry

I am clutching at straws here having seen a record in the burials section which I think could possibly refer to my Mom's uncle.

Robinson Nellie ( Wife of William age 47 )
Died at 38 Heeley Green; Buried on May 27, 1915 in Unconsecrated ground;
Grave Number 28, Section 5A of Norton Cemetery, Sheffield

Has anyone a connection ?

Could someone with access to the 1911 Census see if William and Nellie were at that address and if so, other family members please.

Re: Robinson enquiry

Hi Marlene & Moira and thanks ladies.

Now scratching my head !

Re: Robinson enquiry

There are other Robinsons in the same grave if you haven't already seen them

Jenny

Re: Robinson enquiry

In February 1901 my Greatgrandmother Harriet Dale died whilst living at 38 Heeley Green

Your help again please !
Who was living at 38 Heeley Green at the time of the 1901 Census ?

Slightly off topic !
Nellie is short for Eleanor.
What other spelling variations are there if any ?

Re: Robinson enquiry

Ellen is another variant for Nellie.
I'll look for the 1901 census.

Re: Robinson enquiry

Hi Jenny, yes, have seen them and getting confused.
I haven't yet seen anything which indicates William is Mom's uncle, but will keep trying.

A bit of family history background.
I am aware of all of Mom's uncles, that is her father's ( Thomas ) brothers.
John Arthur, Edgar, Fred & Harry.
William apparently disappeared to I am told Liverpool.
The fact I know nothing of him apart from Sheffield Census records is ' bugging ' me and has done ever since I started out on family history research some 40 years ago.

No doubt many of you will have family members you know nothing about !

Re: Robinson enquiry

Hundreds of my ancestors I know nothing about including my own father who was orphaned!

I'm sure I'll still be doing this family history malarkey for many more years to come.
They didn't make it easy for us did they!

Regards,
Marlene C.

Hi Jenny and thanks again.
John is my Ggrandfather

I have made an assumption, that is the William Robinson at 38 Heeley Green in 1915 could be my Mom's uncle.
