Walter Turton birth and baptism 1869 in Ecclesall Bierlow
Unable to locate the birth or baptism record for Walter Turton for 1868-69
All the census say he was born in Ecclesall Bierlow abt1869
Parents are HENRY TURTON and Sarah Elizabeth (Charles) TURTON
There is a baptism record on Sheffield index for 1869 that have different parents, these are not my Walter.
I have looked on Latter day saints which lists Walter but I have no printable record.
Henry Turton was a gas fitter
Walter shows up in the 1911 census living at 3 House 6 Ct Arundle St Sheffield not married, Occupation Engineer Labourer
The 1871 census is:-

Just to give you a nudge in the right direction re birth registrations.
The GRO index (Free) has the following which now enables you to see the mothers maiden name.
There is of course FreeBMD & the Sheffield Council Site (BMD) free.

The baptismal transcriptions that we at S.I. have completed for the Parish Church (Cathedral)
only go to 1842. So there will be nothing for 1869.Check the Index over to the left and you will see what we cover.
