Hi, does anyone on here know of any sites that cover the district of Coventry? I'm trying to find out some info about my grandad Thomas ward who was born in Coventry in 1907 I know his parents were called job and Elizabeth and job was from Wolverhampton. I will welcome any help and information . Thanks

Ann, the GRO index gives his mother maiden name as Jackson. Are you looking to go backwards in time, or forward?

Ann, it looks like Job married Elizabeth Ashmore in q3 1907 about 6 months after Thomas was born (q1 1907). In the 1890s and early 1900s the GRO index shows a few births for Ashmore children with mother maiden name Jackson. However I have been unable to find an Ashmore marriage to Elizabeth Jackson.

Edit, take a look at 1901 census in Brightside Bierlow. You Job Ward is boarding with the Ashmores.
Edit 2 Elizabeth's husband Charlie Ashmore died q1 1906.
