He is there but not in Sheffield.
Are you sure his body was brought back to Sheffield???

PS. I have just looked at Ancestry and there are a number of Trees there with Alfred on them.
He died in 1961 or so it seems the chap that died in 1965 Alfred G Cowen was born in Hull.
The 1961 chap was born in Sheffield

If you look under the burials on this site, you will find Ellis and
Amelia. Both are buried in City Road Cemetery. With them is
Ada Cowhen, housewife, aged 48yrs.
It's possible other burials were added to this plot at a later date.
