Fulwood cottage homes

Does anyone know how to search the fulwood cottage homes on the 1939 index? I've tried searching Bole hill rd and anything with the name fulwood in it but I'm hoping to get a list of children in care at that time.
I've had great help from Elaine and Dave to get me through s far, many thanks.

Janet.

I would think that a lot of the children would be blanked out if born after 1915, unless they have now died and the records have been opened by FMP.

A quote from FMP:
"Records of people younger than 100 and still alive, or who died after 1991 are officially closed"

Re: Fulwood cottage homes

Janet, according to your previous thread, your mother was born in January 1925, Therefore at the time of the 1939 register she would have been 6 months past her 14th birthday. At that time education was compulsory up to 14, so it is likely that, wherever she had been before, by the time of the 1939 register she will have been in some kind of employment. Have you eliminated the only Margaret Machin in the register born in 1925? She was living in Scarborough with a family called Moss.
