WILLIAM H. B. JACKSON

Has any body got any information regarding a William H. B. Jackson, all I have managed to find about him is that he married Beatrice Alice Wheatcroft Apr - Jun - 1899 in Doncaster Vol 9C Page 1754, HIs wife Beatrice Alice Wheatcroft was born Jul - Sep - 1899 Vol 7b Page 760 Baptised 16 - 08 - 1899 in Chesterfield,and died September 1974 age 74 in Sheffield Vol 3 Page 1256.
I do hope you can help yet again.

1939 register - 35 East Laude Gate, Doncaster.
William B.H. Jackson, D.O.B. 26 Aug 1896, haulage contractor, married.
Beatrice A. Jackson, D.O.B. 26 Jul 1899, domestic duties, married.
One record officially closed.
(William has been transcribed as Willis and there is a piece of
cellotape over the date of birth of Beatrice and has been transcribed
as 1875).

Marriage at All Saints Church, Owston, 7 June 1924.
William Horace Benjamin Jackson, 27yrs, batch, motor driver of 21 Printing Office St., father - William Jackson (Dec'd), architect & surveyor.
Beatrice Alice Wheatcroft, 24yrs, spin, of 106 Owston Rd., father -
William Henry Wheatcroft, builder.
Witnesses: William Henry Wheatcroft and Harriet Ada Jackson.

Thank you very much for your very kind reply and valued information Please could you let me know which web site you found the 1939 cesus record for William and his family.
also would you have a GRO record number & place of birth for William. I have tried to find these records but no luck so far.

The 1939 register is available on FindMyPast, it is not a census.

"In December 1938 it was announced in the House of Commons that in the event of war, a National Register would be taken that listed the personal details of every civilian in Great Britain and Northern Ireland. This Register was to be a critical tool in coordinating the war effort at home. It would be used to issue identity cards, organise rationing and more. War was declared on the 3rd September and National Registration day was September 29th.

Fred, on 1911 census there is a William Benjamin Horace Jackson in St Neots age 13. He was born in Quebec. He was nephew to Frederick Horace Beeson who was born in Edgeware, Middlesex.
