Re: Burial Record/Grave

Burial Records is the right place.

I notice that Edith Florence is transcribed as 'Edith Forence'.

If you just put 513 manch* (where the asterisk is a wild card) in the address field you will find Ann Elizabeth FIELD. Then clicking Find Similar in Same Grave as John says will find the other two.

Re: Burial Record/Grave

Isn't it wonderful how far and wide Sheffielders are scattered? Would there be any scope for an ex pats newspaper in Ottawa!!!!!!!

Re: Burial Record/Grave

Hi Monica,

I have lived in Ottawa 50 years this August and I think I remember such a Newspaper when we first arrived. There was a large number of Brits here at that time in the fledgling Hi-tech field. We are now such a diverse country the we (English) dont seem to push our birth status. We help celebrate Robbie Burns &
St Patrick's days but nothing jumps out at me for England.

Afternoon tea is served in many hotels during the tourist season.
The Scottish & Irish Store and some of our super markets import some English delicacies.

I believe that the only place I have recently seen such a newspaper was in Ft Lauderdale. USA.

My links with Sheffield are still strong my siblings still live there.
The 14yrs of Sheffield Indexers and prior to that Eng-Sheffield have certainly kept me in the loop.

Take care,

Elaine in Ottawa.
