I would be very grateful if someone who May have access to the City Road Cemetery to let me know if my great grandfather Samuel Oates is buried there. He was 87 at his death in 1965. If he is buried there, I would be keen to know the grave location and who he shares it with.

Hi Judy,

When we transcribed City Road Cemetery we were only given permission to transcribe up to and including 1946.

The 1965 entry you are looking for would only be available from Sheffield Archives.....or Bereavement Services at City Rd.
