Hi.My Grt Grandmother had stillborn child [1888] who was buried in consecrated ground - would the child's bith have been registered and would it have been baptised? Thanks

Back in 1888 there would not have been an entry in the civil registration system ( Birth or Death ) as the child was not deemed to have ever lived but there would normally have been a record of the burial although the child may not have been given a christian name.
