Louise Hartley - Burngreave burial entry -1969

My grandmother Louise Hartley (Kingston)
was born on 22/01/1879 - in Wentworth, and died in 1969 - aged 90.,at her daughters house at - 65 Fircroft Avenue Sheffield.
There are two conflicting burial dates on this site.
I was hoping Dave Yates could advise which one is correct ?.
Kindest regards Brian.

Re: Louise Hartley - Burngreave burial entry -1969

Hi Brian,

According to our records, Louise Hartley died on 30th May 1969 and was buried on 3rd June 1969.

She is buried in JJ-4048-C

Re: Louise Hartley - Burngreave burial entry -1969

Hi Brian,

Seems that the entry was entered twice for some reason once with the death date and the other burial date but it does state that.

Whats slightly confusing are the two entries.

Hi
Elaine
I have mentioned this ,via email to Tony.
No doubt- the wife would say - I gave both records - a (man look).
Not sure why I questioned the entries- apart from the duplication,I already had my grans date of death on my tree.
Kind regards Brian.

Re: Louise Hartley - Burngreave burial entry -1969

Hi Brian,

I don't think it should be altered as there are two separate entries for that person. One with her death date and the other her burial. I have just spoken to Dave Yates via Skype and that's what he has as part of the material with Friends of Burngreave.

As I said before one is a death date and the other a burial that's on our site so it is correct and they both come up when you put her name in the search.

Poor Tony as a working man is probably snowed under but I can make changes when necessary its just the uploading I can't do.

Can't see the woods for trees where the IT stuff is concerned. LOL......

Re: Louise Hartley - Burngreave burial entry -1969

Hi

Here's me thinking it was Elaine regressing back to her native tongue "not being able to see wood fer 't' trees"

I thought the duplication may have been down to the fact that we had originally uploaded a "selection" of Burngreave burials, (if memory serves) that had been extracted by a lady, who was a friend of Burngreave before we got to the later years.

Hows about I amend one of the entries to read the date of burial, to conform with the other burials, and then add the date of death as a "note" in the extra info column ?

Hi Tony
I would have thought that one entry giving date of death and burial would be good.
Kindest regards,and thanks Brian.

Hi Tony, your memory serves you well.

The original 'selection' are known to us at Burngreave as "Betty's Burials". All the dates on that list are dates of death rather than dates of burial.

I hope that this clears up any confusion.

Dave.
