Hi everyone, does anyone know if this row is still in existance? My Gt. grandmother was born there I have just discovered.Anyone with local knowledge of this area of Rotherham?Kind regards-Carol Simpson-Bradford
Hi Carol, Looking at a 1999 A to Z off South Yorks Badgers Row is not in it looking where Thornhill is on the map shows that the area is now all industrial units and also there is now a dual carriage way running thourgh part off it,from memory thornhill i think is still signposted off Greasboro Road up Tenter St,there are some older houses further up but not sure what area they are in,looking pyhsically at the map there doe not appear to any odd bits left over.

Re: Badgers Row -Thornhill-Masbrough
Thanks MJB for your efforts,I think Alan was right when he said it was cleared in 1933 but will have a look round when I can make a visit.I think Providence Street is still there though and the family lived there too.Once again thanks, one cannot just pop out and have a look when one lives here in Bradford!Carol

Hi Carol, I have located Badgers Row in the 1911 census, and it was on Hardy Street, Thornhill. Email on it's way to you with Enumerators Schedule for Badgers Row 1911 attached, and also a street map from the 1960s showing Hardy Street.
