Hi,
Does anyone with access to the 1871 cencus fancy taking a look and helping me with a new pair of eyes to work out a job description?
Mary Newstead (Widow)age 58, born 1813, Ferry, Yorkshire. Living with 4 sons all Ag Labourers.
The 1881 cencus reads "Annuitant" (someone receiving a pension similar to old age pension today, according to Rootschat).
No occupation is listed in 1861, her husband is an Ag Labourer.
Hi I have an hector ross on the 1851 census occupation annuitant if you google annuitant it is a person who is entitled to benefits from an annuity.
regards Fin
