John Bishop

I've come to a brickwall with my 4x gt grandfather John Bishop. I can't find his burial so have no idea where or when he was born.

The info I have on him is that he was a moulder. He married Charlotte Russell in Sheffield in 1791 and had 10 children baptised in Sheffield between 1791 and 1811. The trail then goes cold.

For some reason his daughter Emma (my rellie) got married in Dronfield (1826). She and Charlotte were both living in Sheffield in the 1841 census. Charlotte died in 1850 at Stoney Ridge Bar in Dore and was buried at St Marys Bramhall Lane. Can't find John though..

Re: John Bishop

Hi Tony

Thank you for looking. I had looked at those three but the one on Brocco was a grinder and the other two were both cutlers. I'm starting to wonder if John was maybe buried in Dronfield, with Emma being married from there?
