caveney family

hi, some time ago i asked for help in tracing my
great great grand mother Mary Cavany, who married a
Michael Kilbride in 1869, after the death of her 1st
husband Dominc Cavany. Ive established that the
Michael Kilbride listed on this site as died at
Pea Croft, Dec. 1872 aged 52 was Mary,s husband.
None of the Mary Kilbride,s listed on your buriel site
match with my Mary, as she was born in Ireland in
1826. The only one listed died 1890 aged 50.
Iseem to have come to a blank end with this one.
any suggestions would be appreciated. Regds, Michael.

Have you found her on any census after Michael KILBRIDE died? This would help to narrow down a year of death.

Re: caveney family

Hi Michael

Could she have remarried? Free BMD have got 2 possible marriages in Sheffield in 1890 for a Mary Kilbride. One of them has got a Thomas Horan and a John Malloy on the same page. The other has got 4 brides on the page but but only 3 grooms - John Home, John Horne and Albert Edward Turner

Re: caveney family

many thanks for your replies. No i have,nt found her
on any census lists after 1871. I found that interesting that a Mary Kilbride married a Thomas
Horan in 1890. Could that possibley have been a
Thomas MORAN?. If so i have a strong family connection
with the Morans. thanks again Michael.

Michael
The Marriage entry is typed up with the name Thomas Horan in the third qtr of 1890 in Sheffield volume 9c page 247.
Did Mary Kilbride have a middle name ?.
Kind regards Brian.

Re: caveney family

many thanks again for the interest. No Mary did,nt
have a middle name, and i can,t find any records of
her re- marrying at all, but my cousin informs me she
may have had an illigitimate daughter also called
Mary, born in 1853?. There again i have,nt come
across this one. Mary would have been in her late 40,s when her second husband died. Ifeel she must
have married again or even moved out of the area
for her not to have appeared on any records. The only
clue i have is that her 1st huaband died at asylum in
Wakefield and was burried at St Peter,s church there,
so it is possible that she moved there?. Michael.
